I’M RUSSELL HALSTED
Now at the peak of my abilities, I don’t claim to be the best in the world at brand building, but I have never met or heard of anyone better. As you peruse my website, you’ll see the evidence of my core belief, ‘Quality cannot be defined, but it is easily recognized’. Every plan or project exemplifies detailed craftsmanship that rarely exists today. Something you won’t see, but will experience when you work with me, is the extreme passion I have for my craft.
Years ago, I was nicknamed “The Brand Therapist”. I believe that fits me best. Having helped hundreds of businesses get started, and established companies grow exponentially, I have become an efficiency expert. Although highly strategic in my thinking, logistics is where the rubber meets the road. That defines my greatest asset … I recognize or imagine details most miss. The net result is successfully executed projects that range in budgets from “lunch is on me” to billions. I’m at my best with complete build-outs … from a Mom and Pop corner store to an international franchise network. Regardless of size, I attack every project with the same quality and enthusiasm.
46 years ago, I was a pioneer in what became modern day brand building. In those days, advertising agencies pigeonholed the creative process, so clients were assigned a team, managed by a traffic manager. All of these people (production artists, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, copywriters, art directors, broadcast directors, etc.) were ordered to stay within their lane of expertise, directed by a well rounded creative director.
My style has always been different. I believe each person working on the promotion of a client should be good at every discipline, before they specialize in one. From the beginning, I believed that every client deserved the biggest bang for their buck, which rarely requires a huge team. I have mastered each discipline, and bring in other experts on a project by project basis.
In this internet age, so dominated with cheap cookie cutter advice and common clip art graphics, I still proudly offer strictly custom work that has been properly researched and mapped out. My meticulous craftsmanship and unsurpassed attention to detail are legendary. Add to that, I learned very early on to actually LISTEN to my clients! I find that to be a very rare capability these days. That combination tends to produce results that every client can be proud of. A sampling of my more notable work is here to view. WHAT AM I PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I am a ride-or-die champion of empathy, forever fighting for the greater good. I’m very passionate about all sports. I feel athletics are the modern day substitute for military conflicts. I am so grateful to be an American. This great country is a beacon of hope for the entire world. We support innovators of all kinds, regardless of where they were born. To say that I’m a proud patriot, is a vast understatement. I barely missed the draft that took so many of my friends to Vietnam, never to return. Ever since then, I support every veteran cause possible, simply to recognize the huge debt we all owe to those who have served.
